VanVed vs Zoho Desk
for Helpdesk & Complaints
Why businesses choose VanVed over Zoho Desk
Nothing here is metered. Zoho charges by tier for the things a small team hits first — round-robin sits behind Professional, canned responses are capped at five on Standard — while VanVed gives every org round-robin, unlimited canned responses, the full escalation matrix and the public knowledge base at no extra cost, with the complaint's root cause and resolution recorded against the invoice or membership it concerns.
Capability by capability
Every row below is what our 2026 research found — including the rows we lose.
| Capability | VanVed | Zoho Desk |
|---|---|---|
| Cost of entry | Bundled with the platform, unlimited agents | Free for 3 agents; ₹800 Standard, ₹1,400 Professional, ₹2,400 Enterprise per user/mo annual |
| Canned response limits | Unlimited | Metered by tier — 5 on Standard, 15 per department on Professional, 30 on Enterprise |
| Round-robin assignment tier | Available to every org, free, with leave awareness | Professional and above; skill-based assignment is Enterprise only |
| Business hours and escalation on breach | Escalation matrix yes, business hours no — the SLA clock never pauses | Business hours and breach escalation on every plan including Free |
| Ticket merge and split | Neither exists | Both from the Standard plan |
| Knowledge base languages | Public search now matches article body as well as title, so a phrase inside an article is findable — still single-language, no multi-brand help centre | Multilingual KB at Professional; multi-brand help centre at Enterprise |
| Built-in AI | A draft-reply assist for agents on the tenant's own model key — nothing customer-facing, and it is not grounded in the knowledge base | Zia bundled in the seat price — no per-resolution metering, full generative Zia at Professional |
| Complaint workflow beyond the ticket | Root causes, resolution notes, a linked business record and an auto-reopen rule on a poor rating | Blueprints process automation from Professional |
Where Zoho Desk is ahead of us today
Zoho Desk gives business hours and SLA escalation away on its free plan, and VanVed has no business hours at all — an SLA promise of four hours can be broken by a weekend. Merge and split are standard at Zoho from ₹800 a seat and absent here. The knowledge base now searches article bodies, closing the title-only gap, but it is still single-language against Zoho's multilingual and multi-brand tiers. Zia is bundled into Zoho's seat price and spans the whole desk; the only AI in VanVed's helpdesk drafts an agent's reply.
We publish this because a comparison that only flatters us is worth nothing to you. If one of these gaps is the thing you actually need, Zoho Desk may well be the better buy.
