VanVed vs Google Forms
for Surveys
Why businesses choose VanVed over Google Forms
A respondent sees the tenant's brand on the tenant's domain, not a Google form — and the answer lands against the ticket, booking, membership or registration that prompted it, with a real NPS score and a response-over-time chart on top. Branching is genuinely more flexible: a rule can jump to a named later question or end the survey, rather than only moving between sections.
Capability by capability
Every row below is what our 2026 research found — including the rows we lose.
| Capability | VanVed | Google Forms |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Included in the platform plan | Free, with unlimited responses |
| Question type count | Eight | Twelve, including file upload and grid questions |
| Branching | Per-question skip rules — jump to a specific later question or straight to the end | Go-to-section only, and only from multiple choice and dropdown |
| Answer validation | Required flags and type-checked answers | Required plus regex, ranges and length validation |
| Anonymous responses | Anonymous by default, with duplicate detection that does not store identity | Works with no sign-in; email collection off by default |
| Whose brand the respondent sees | The tenant's own colours on the tenant's own domain | Google chrome and fonts, no custom domain |
| Results view | Per-question charts, an NPS score, a daily response series and CSV | Summary charts and one-click Sheets export, but no drop-off analysis |
| Connection to the rest of the business | A response can be attached to a helpdesk ticket, booking, membership or event registration | A spreadsheet |
| Getting the survey to people | A public link, an iframe embed and an email blast to a typed list — one shared link, so nothing is tracked per recipient, and no QR | Link, email, embed and QR |
Where Google Forms is ahead of us today
Google Forms is free, has more question types including file upload and grids, has stronger answer validation with regex and ranges, and can be shared as a QR code. This can embed the form and email the link to a list, but the link is the same one for everybody.
We publish this because a comparison that only flatters us is worth nothing to you. If one of these gaps is the thing you actually need, Google Forms may well be the better buy.
