VanVed vs Glofox
for Membership
Why businesses choose VanVed over Glofox
VanVed freezes a membership properly and gives the days back, which Glofox does not even advertise, and it charges no platform surcharge on card payments where Glofox is reported to stack its own fee on top of the processor's. Its price is published and billed monthly rather than sales-gated and pre-paid quarterly, and POS, inventory, HR and payroll come in the same tenant rather than as tier upgrades.
Capability by capability
Every row below is what our 2026 research found — including the rows we lose.
| Capability | VanVed | Glofox |
|---|---|---|
| Memberships and credit packs | One plan model covering duration, credits, or both, with live status recomputed from the end date | Flexible memberships and credit packs on unified member profiles |
| Freeze and hold | Freeze, resume, and frozen days added back to the end date | Not stated anywhere on the features page |
| Failed-payment recovery | None. There is no dunning, no retry and no card updater | Automated failed-payment recovery with card updating |
| Class and appointment booking | A weekly class series now generates its own occurrences and a check-in spends a membership credit — but recurrence is weekly-only and no reminder is ever sent | Classes, courses and appointments on one calendar with waitlists and automated reminders |
| Check-in | QR and kiosk self check-in through the attendance module | Self check-in, kiosks, barcode check-in in the member app |
| Door access tied to membership status | Nothing unlocks a door | Door access driven by membership status |
| Retail and POS | A full POS and inventory module in the same tenant | Retail products, from the Boost tier up |
| Cost of taking a payment | The tenant's own gateway at the gateway's own rate; no platform surcharge | Reported to add a platform surcharge on top of the processor's rate, roughly doubling the effective cost per card transaction |
| Price transparency and commitment | ₹1,499/month ex-GST, published, billed monthly | Only the $99 Essential tier is published; higher tiers are sales-gated and commonly pre-paid quarterly |
Where Glofox is ahead of us today
Glofox is built around the member's week and VanVed is not. A recurring class timetable with waitlists and automated reminders, door access driven by membership status, a branded member app, and automated failed-payment recovery with card updating are all real there. VanVed now has a weekly recurring class series whose check-in draws on the member's credits, but it still sends no reminders, its memberships never auto-charge and never retry, and nothing it does opens a door. Glofox also ships AI agents and churn prediction; VanVed's membership module has no AI.
We publish this because a comparison that only flatters us is worth nothing to you. If one of these gaps is the thing you actually need, Glofox may well be the better buy.
